Self-driving car rental prices double as the Lunar New Year approaches 4

Stemming from the need to return home or travel to celebrate spring on the occasion of the Lunar New Year holiday, many users aim to rent self-driving cars to proactively move and have flexible time.
Refer to some self-driving car rental units in the Hanoi area, 5-7 seater cars for rent are priced around 1.5-1.8 million VND/day.
Not only do prices nearly double in the days leading up to Tet, most self-driving car rental establishments only have rental packages of 10 days or more, no short-term packages.
`This year the weather in the North is quite cold and rainy, so many customers registered to book cars early, some people signed contracts since November last year. Currently, we only have a few cars left such as Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Raize or VinFast VF e34,

Faced with high demand, some used car dealers quickly offered to rent unsold cars during Tet.
`I combine it in parallel, both selling and renting cars that are difficult to liquidate. While waiting for a tenant, if I can sell it, it’s good. Otherwise, I rent it out and then sell it again after Tet. The car rental fee can also be compensated for.`
In addition to increasing car rental prices, the conditions for signing car rental contracts on this occasion are also somewhat stricter than usual due to `demand exceeding supply`.
Mr. Long, a user in Hanoi, shared: `This Tet, my family is planning to take a short spring trip. We are also worried about the cold weather, so we plan to rent a car to drive ourselves. The price is twice as high as usual.
However, not having a short-term rental package is really difficult.
Some notes when renting a self-driving car
When renting a car, users need to pay attention to many factors to ensure their rights because this is a large asset and has many complications.
Second, users should test drive the car model they intend to rent to see if there are any abnormalities in operation, check details such as tires, coolant, glass water… to avoid damage and incurring costs.
Third, self-driving car rental establishments often do not give the original registration to the car renter, only giving the notarized car registration to customers for use on the road.
Therefore, users should check and compare with original documents when receiving notarized vehicle documents from car rental units.
Finally, users need to check and discuss with the lessor about the vehicle’s condition before receiving it, and take photos and videos of interior/exterior details to save for comparison when necessary.
