The Russian Ministry of Defense added that the losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 25 soldiers, 2 vehicles and 1 US-made M777 155mm cannon.
Previously, Boris Rogov, an official in the Zaporizhia government appointed by Russia, said on May 12 that Ukraine’s counterattack efforts to regain lost positions in Rabotino village had failed.

Rabotino is a frontline village in the Zaporizhia region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky once described Rabotino as the country’s `symbol of defense and resilience`.
According to experts, after the fall of Avdiivka stronghold in Donetsk, Kiev wanted to keep Rabotino even more to prove to the West the capabilities of the Ukrainian army.
Zaporizhia Governor Yevgeny Balitsky admitted that Rabotino is currently in a `gray zone`, meaning that the Ukrainian army no longer controls this area.
If Russia really wins Rabotino, this will help Moscow improve its fighting spirit.

Ukraine today also confirmed that Russian ground forces had entered the northeastern border town of Vovchansk in the Kharkov region.
The offensive continues to pressure Ukrainian forces, while Moscow has gradually taken control of territories in eastern Ukraine over the past several months.
`The situation is extremely difficult. The enemy is occupying positions on the streets of the town of Vovchansk,` said Oleksiy Kharkivskiy, chief of police patrol in Vovchansk.
Ukrainian troops have retreated to `more advantageous` positions in two regions of Kharkiv, including the Vovchansk region, the Ukrainian army said late on May 14.
According to the Ukrainian army, this decision was `a consequence of intense enemy attacks and raids` and was made `to protect the lives of Ukrainian servicemen and avoid losses`.
The Ukrainian army announced that Kiev forces were trying to prevent Russia from gathering soldiers and military equipment north of Vovchansk.
Mr. Kharkivskiy said police were still in Vovchansk and were continuing to evacuate people.
Russia began attacking Kharkov again on May 10, opening a new front after nearly 2 years.
Military analysts believe that the attack may be part of a Russian strategy, not necessarily to open a new offensive line into Kharkov but to draw Ukrainian forces away from other battlefields where Ukrainian troops are located.
According to the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia’s main goal seems to be to force Ukraine to withdraw its forces from the Eastern front here in the context of Moscow only making very slow progress in the area.
