(Dan Tri) – With the expected entry of Haval Jolion, the B-size urban SUV segment in Vietnam promises to be more exciting, but the competitiveness of this Chinese model may be limited.
The dealer said that Haval Jolion will be launched in Vietnam in the first half of this year.

Jolion is positioned in the urban SUV segment and in terms of size, this model can be classified in class B+ similar to Toyota Corolla Cross.

Jolion’s equipment is quite modern.
The interior has a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central screen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, 2-zone independent automatic air conditioning with rear air vent, gear shift knob, electric handbrake.

Sales consultants said that when Haval Jolion returns to Vietnam, there will be two pure gasoline and hybrid versions, similar to the Toyota Yaris Cross model.
Meanwhile, the hybrid variant is configured with a 1.5L turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor, generating 190 horsepower and 375Nm.

The appearance of Haval Jolion gives users new options but also faces many significant challenges.
According to the plan, Xforce will start handing over from March, importing complete units from Indonesia.

In early January, Toyota Yaris Cross was adjusted by the distributor to reduce its proposed retail price by up to 80 million VND compared to before.
This puts a lot of pressure on the selling price for Haval Jolion, while this is a `rookie`.

Without good prices, Haval Jolion will have difficulty competing because the lessons of its `elder` H6 HEV are still there.
In 2023, Hyundai Creta is the best-selling product in the B and B+ urban SUV segment with accumulated sales reaching 10,719 vehicles.
