Rejected the Inter-Korean Demilitarized Zone option, choosing Singapore
According to Yonhap, speaking at yesterday’s cabinet meeting, President Trump affirmed that the summit between him and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will not take place in the Inter-Korean Demilitarized Zone, but specifically
`It won’t be there (the Inter-Korean Demilitarized Zone,` President Trump said.
Meanwhile, CNN quoted two well-informed sources as saying that President Trump has instructed his aides to prepare a meeting between him and Kim Jong-un in Singapore.
Guardian news agency commented that Singapore is considered by US officials for the US-North Korea summit because of its neutrality as well as the lion island nation’s security infrastructure.
The White House currently refuses to comment on this information and confirms that the time and location for the meeting will be announced in the next few days.
For his part, President Trump believes that the US-North Korea summit will bring a `very successful` agreement because both sides want to negotiate.
Mr. Trump said that three American citizens released by North Korea yesterday boarded a plane with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to return home after Mr. Pompeo’s meeting in Pyongyang.

According to KCNA, Kim Jong-un accepted President Trump’s proposal to release three US citizens detained in North Korea.
