Russia’s official response came after recent media reported that China and Switzerland are attempting to invite Russia to participate in negotiations.
Last month, Switzerland announced plans to hold a peace summit `in the summer`.
However, Ukraine has made it clear that Russia can only be invited if it agrees in advance to a series of conditions.
Ms. Zakharova stated that Moscow has no intention of participating in a peace conference organized by Switzerland on the Ukraine conflict, even if officially invited.
According to a Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s `peace formula` includes a number of unrealistic provisions, including the withdrawal of Russian troops to the Ukrainian border in 1991, forcing Moscow to take responsibility.
Ms. Zakharova said Kiev’s basic demands remain the same, while Russia’s legitimate interests are being ignored.

Russian President Vladimir Putin later said the Ukrainian delegation initially agreed to some of Russia’s terms during the talks in Istanbul in March 2022, but then suddenly abandoned the agreement.
The Kremlin has repeatedly affirmed that Russia remains open to meaningful discussions and blamed the Ukrainian government for the lack of a diplomatic breakthrough.
