See Mitsubishi Triton 2024 about to be sold in Vietnam, some points are still not equal to Ranger 2
(Dan Tri) – Mitsubishi Triton 2024 possesses many notable upgrades in the new generation, but the engine will still cause regret when it is not as strong as its rival Ford Ranger and is also inferior to its American rival in some amenities.
In Vietnam, Ford Ranger holds the majority of the market share in the pickup segment, overwhelming sales compared to competitors.
The new generation of this pickup model was recently spotted testing on Thang Long Avenue (Hanoi), but the Japanese car company is still quite tight-lipped, it is unclear when the official introduction will be.

The design of the Mitsbuishi Triton is transformed in the new generation and is also a controversial topic.
The car has a large rectangular grille and a `T` shaped LED front light cluster, separated from the LED daytime positioning lights by a `C` shaped panel.
The car is equipped with a new, larger chassis that helps some important parameters change, such as ground clearance increased from 220mm to 222mm;

The car’s safety equipment is highlighted by a number of modern features such as: blind spot warning, lane warning, adaptive automatic throttle with Stop & Go and following the car ahead, 360-degree camera, automatic lights.
In Thailand, the 2024 Mitsubishi Triton Athlete costs 1,125 million baht (about 766 million VND) for the 1-wheel drive version, and the 2-wheel drive version costs 1,298 million baht (about 883 million VND).
Experts predict that the most expensive version of this pickup model could cost up to 950 million VND when it returns to Vietnam, but is still cheaper than the Ford Ranger Wildtrak (979 million VND).

Mitsubishi Triton 2024 is equipped with a completely new 2.4L turbocharged, 4-cylinder, diesel engine.
Mitsubishi Triton 2024 does not have as many comfort and safety equipment as the Ford Ranger.
In fact, the Ford Ranger is popular in Vietnam despite many customer complaints saying they have problems with the vehicle, especially related to the 10-speed automatic transmission.
In 2023, Mitsubishi Triton sold a total of 2,572 cars, ranking 2nd in the segment, but far behind Ford Ranger (16,085 units).
