(Dan Tri) – Gary Neville caused controversy when he made a mockery of Chelsea players when they lost to Liverpool’s young players in the Carabao Cup final on the evening of February 25 (Vietnam time).
`In extra time, Jurgen Klopp’s kids can still defeat Chelsea’s billion-pound stars,` former Man Utd star Gary Neville commented on Sky Sport after watching Liverpool win.

Even without the services of stars Trent-Alexander Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez, Liverpool can still defeat coach Mauricio Pochettino’s team with young players such as James McConnell (19 years old), Bobby Clark (19 years old).
In contrast, Chelsea fielded stars Enzo Fernandez and Moise Caicedo (both costing over £100m) at the heart of their midfield.
President Todd Boehly has spent more than £1 billion on players since taking charge of Chelsea in the summer of 2022, but losing to a squad largely made up of Liverpool’s academy players made the Blues feel bad.

`Liverpool were completely shocking. Those young players are amazing. Klopp must be very proud,` Gary Neville expressed.
`However, for Chelsea, I have no sympathy for them. Mauricio Pochettino’s players have lost their value dramatically after this match. They have lost their value right before our eyes and in front of the fans.`
Notably, in response to Gary Neville’s comments, Chelsea coach Pochettino said: `If you compare the ages of the two teams, they are similar. I have a good relationship with Gary, I can respect his opinion.`
I definitely feel proud.
Meanwhile, commentator Jamie Carragher expressed: `This result just tells you that football is not just about money. It’s about finding the right players and creating connections between players.`
Liverpool has all that.
